Back to Current

A short relief
Aaah, the History essay is finally out of the way. Finished it about a hundred and fifty words short of the "suggested" 2500, but hey, I've always been a concise one with my compositions. Don't think it was bad, hopefully good enough for me to scrape an A since I'm so bloody hopeless at the Britain paper which I have re-sat twice and still got the same shitty mark for. Why am I blogging when I have an Art exam this week? Well, I'm ill and really not in the right state of body or mind to be doing any work, just a cold, albeit quite a bad one. Been in bed every moment I've been able to spare this week and it's never like this. I'm just tired and woozy the whole time. Not nice, I assure you. In fact, I've just gotten back from buying drugs at Asda and am presently contemplating whether taking cough syrup, Beechams, and Sudafed all at the same time is a good idea...

Otherwise, life is going pretty well. I'm optimistic about Art this week (for the first time), maybe because this entire unit is my very own brainchild and I've taken no ideas from my teachers in its development. We'll just have to see how it turns out! Come next Sunday I will be up in London for a masterclass conducted by James Galway which I'm looking forward to. It'll be glorious, a whole day all by myself, and maybe I'll even be able to squeeze wandering down the streets of Knightsbridge afterwards. Yeah, I know, exams, what exams? :P I see life taking a general uphill rise towards half term. Light at end of tunnel, as they say. Well, I think I have been quite happy, although maybe slightly irritable as of late due to said plague that I have been overcome with. My apologies if you have been a direct victim of my petulance. But yes, not to worry, I am quite content perhaps due to another affliction that refuses to be cured. Yep, I'm losing my mind...

Scary stuff, only ten more days of taught lessons left at Roedean. Eeek! I've already had my last ever concert here. Just to think, the next time I play with an ensemble, it's going to be a completely new experience! Exams have barely started and I'm already fantasising about going travelling between my last exam and the end of term... Sigh. This is what staring at the travel pages of glossy magazines showing glorious sunny beaches does to one. Though I really wouldn't mind going to Italy again. Been craving Italy since coming back from the Music trip last year. We really didn't spend enough time at the places we visited. Paris would be wonderful as well, though maybe less so without free reign of the credit card... Basically, I've been daydreaming of going to beautiful places with wonderful company instead of revising. Pfft...

Anyway, I shall now attempt to sketch some scintillating final designs. Happy pictures of the A-Level Music outing this week to Karma and Emperor of China where we managed to demolish copious amounts of food:

Who Is Wei Jing?
Well, what can I say? I'm usually sane (though questionable), sarcastic, and will try to be witty; sometimes unpredictable, inquisitive, and spontaneous; hardly ever unsociable, bossy, and moody.

Loves: Friends, smell of freshly laundered clothes, sweet cherries, long conversations, chocolate, home, music, mail, MAC, shopping, the word etcetera (just for moments like this).

Hates: Boredom, a missing sense of humour, loneliness, school chips, boring movies, sadness, being broke, and the list goes on....
